Workout Playlist 2016: 25 Song Suggestions for the New Year

Have you made any New Years resolutions? Do they involve getting more fit? I don't set specific ones, but do always feel more of a push to make healthy choices this time of year. I love to workout and we have a treadmill at home, but after catching a bad respiratory illness in November I'm still slowly getting back in the game. I would not call myself a runner; this is because I live with someone who really, really runs - my husband is a run 8 miles in icy rain kind of a runner (a few of these suggestions I stole from his playlist). My style is more walking at a moderately-brisk-pace while watching old Grey's Anatomy episodes, or listening to music. While I love the distraction of TV, I know that music makes me push myself harder.

The trick is finding songs you can get into, that motivate you, and that have beats per minute that fit with your speed/style. While I love Adele, it isn't something that inspires me to run faster. Maybe sit and ponder old relationships and the passing of time while gazing pensively out a window; but not run faster.

Full disclosure; this is mostly AT40, pop-music stuff. Not all of it is recent, although a lot of it is - there are some gems from earlier years, however!

What would you add? Anyone else have a power song that always does the trick?
